Exhibition Catalogue Design

We had the privilege of designing Syrinx, a monograph documenting Jesse Mockrin’s solo exhibition at Night Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. This exhibition catalogue delves into Mockrin’s artistic process and the extensive research behind her series, which reinterprets and challenges works by Baroque, Renaissance, and Romantic artists.

The publication features an introduction by acclaimed Los Angeles painter Monica Majoli, an insightful interview with Mockrin by curator Diana Nawi, and a critical analysis by Edward Sterrett, postdoctoral research associate at the Getty Museum. Throughout the catalogue, images of Mockrin’s works are juxtaposed with the historical source material that inspired them, offering readers a deeper understanding of her masterful subversion of classical art traditions.
